009 • The new era of education

Recently, I’ve been seeing evidence…

Evidence for the uprising of a new, improved education system.

One where you can learn from experts or even industry leaders in any field you desire.

One that costs a fraction of a traditional degree and provides you with the skills to build leverage to earn much more than traditional jobs.

This is the creator economy.

People all over the globe are monetizing their creative skills providing value for those who want to build the same outcomes, but are yet to have succeeded in doing so.

Creators like Dan Koe, Justin Welsh, Kieran Drew and more have created one-person businesses scaling to six figures yearly and upwards, simply by sharing the skills that they’ve learned through growing and developing themselves online over months and years.

And after a period of resistance, I’ve bought in.

A few of those I’ve followed and watched grow on the marketing and branding side of Twitter launched a personal branding cohort at a ridiculously cheap price.

For only $199, I’d now gained access to a network of creators skilled in capturing attention and growing traffic online. The same people I’d watched take over on Twitter over the last few months, as I struggled to grow a following on the platform myself.

Over the next couple of months, I’m going to be part of workshops and Q&A sessions with some of the most successful creators on Twitter, all for the price of a fortnight’s worth of entertainment in my normal university semester.

A good return on investment, no?

At the same time, I’ve been building my own corner of the creator economy…

Just over a month ago, I released the first part of a free guide I’m calling Mastering Medium Monetisation. It talks about how to go about ‘nailing’ a starting niche (subject to development over time) on Medium, allowing you to start building an audience.

Following this, I’ve now just released the second part of the guide - called ‘Consistent Creativity’.

It talks about the theory behind creativity as well as actionable techniques that you can put into use to improve your consistency, making daily writing feel like a breeze.

I’ve published over 50 Medium articles and 9 newsletter issues in the last 60 days, earning my first $1k through using the methods I’ve outlined in this guide and the previous one.
